Cogitating beyond pedestrian life, some persons have looked for routes that lead to spiritual thinking and objectives, even if the objectives and thoughts are conjured, unknown and/or contradictory.  There may be an inner feeling in most persons that there is God because there ought to be.  The human mind has worked on it, and come up with the general idea that there is a god – if not God.  Stern humanists have tried to dissuade, but are markedly unsuccessful.  They sometimes despair that they will ever deliver mankind from a god consciousness, even for an ephemeral god, although success is repeatedly prophesied.  Thomas Jefferson was certain the generation after him would not regard god.  They would be enlightened.  Society appears to be tied to some notion about a somewhat interested god, a god who is good, and will, after human death, let bygones be bygones.  In their perceptions, he can afford to be grandfatherly – to good folks.

What if mankind were given special language as a route to God?  Animals do not speak, not only for the reason that they do not have the larynx and brain for speech, but they have little to say.  If they had something significant to say, they could do better with what they have.  Some trainers work long to teach language to this or that animal or bird, but they haven’t reached the pre-kindergarten stage with them.  Some, working with elephants, have detected identifiable sounds that communicate something of sense, as mankind understands sense in relating to us – to at least serve their species, mostly related to survival.  That has, I suppose, always been perceived, as assumed for whatever specie preceded mankind’s lineage – as argued by the evolutionist theoretician.  The chasm between human beings and animals is very great.  The biology of the package (animal in both instances) is not indicative of the contents of the package – the invisible spirit containing the image of the invisible God for mankind takes us beyond earth.  The dumb animal belongs only to earth.  Spiritual relationships for us make an infinite difference.

Various authorities in their fields argue about the language of heaven, if there is a heaven.  Reviews of ideas of some mathematicians hold that it is mathematics, because it is universal, exact, and unchanging.  Several have argued for music, akin to mathematics in that tones can be recorded in mathematical terms such as a certain number of vibrations will provide a certain sound – always if the circumstances are repeated exactly.  Further, there is a beautiful accompaniment suitable for ecstasy as ecstasy relates to God.  Some argue for poetry, as the carrier of reflective thought, in a beauty that is truncated in that there is no waste of language in the best poetry, and the mind is called to identify and expand truthfully to the words.  The discussions are interesting and exotic.  The benefit is to lift man’s thoughts beyond self and nature, while retaining something of what we know in the confines of nature – language as we have it.

In matter of fact we have a language of heaven in Scripture.  Heaven is more than bilingual.  Scripture incorporates all we need to know in the current context of mankind for forming lasting truth for life and outcomes.  Some of it is in poetry which has been much loved even when translated from the original presentation.  Music is present.  David accented music to his people, and they have been singing ever since, even in slavery – as Scripture informs us.  Language is most needed by those who hear it, and the formation of language is done in the belief that it must make sense to the listener or the reader.  This is a factor to which the layman gives little thought – that God used language we could understand and made it special for his purpose to communicate his plan for mankind, a plan with a magnificent outcome.  It is a plan, according to the communication, that raises us above the animals of the field.  By this redemptive plan we can be born again into the family of God – so to separate the natural (dying) to the supernatural (living).  That family, whose members are in Christ, is blest with immortality and a special relationship with God, who has much to do so communicates clearly in the form that we can understand and accept to immortal hope.   The Christian family (biological) is the most effective of all contexts to communicate the redemptive plan of God for spiritual safety in all of nature’s human generations. *Mark W.
